Psalm 11
ISV Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionBerean Study Bible
1I take refuge in the LORD. So how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains."?1For the choirmaster. Of David. In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain!
2Look, the wicked have bent their bow and placed their arrow on the string, to shoot from the darkness at the upright in heart.2For behold, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrow on the string to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.
3When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?3If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
4The LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD's throne is in the heavens. His eyes see, his glance examines humanity. 4The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD is on His heavenly throne. His eyes are watching closely; they examine the sons of men.
5The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence, he hates.5The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked; His soul hates the lover of violence.
6He rains on the wicked burning coals and sulfur; a scorching wind is their destiny. 6On the wicked He will rain down fiery coals and sulfur; a scorching wind will be their portion.
7Indeed, the LORD is righteous; he loves righteousness; the upright will see him face-to-face.7For the LORD is righteous; He loves justice. The upright will see His face.
