International Standard Version | King James Bible |
May the LORD answer you in the day of distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. | 1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; |
May he send you help from the sanctuary, and may he sustain you from Zion. | 2Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; |
May he remember all your gifts, and may he accept your burnt offerings. Interlude | 3Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. |
May he give you what your heart desires, and may he fulfill all your plans. | 4Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. |
May we shout for joy at your deliverance and unfurl our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions. | 5We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions. |
Now I know that the LORD has delivered his anointed; he has answered him from his sanctuary with the strength of his right hand of deliverance. | 6Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. |
Some boast in chariots, others in horses; but we will boast in the name of the LORD our God. | 7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. |
While they bowed down and fell, we arose and stood upright. | 8They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. |
Deliver us, LORD! Answer us, our King, on the day we cry out! | 9Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call. |
