Psalm 62
HCSB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNew Living Translation
For the choir director: according to Jeduthun. A Davidic psalm. I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. 1I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will never be shaken. 2He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.
How long will you threaten a man? Will all of you attack as if he were a leaning wall or a tottering stone fence? 3So many enemies against one man— all of them trying to kill me. To them I’m just a broken-down wall or a tottering fence.
They only plan to bring him down from his high position. They take pleasure in lying; they bless with their mouths, but they curse inwardly. Selah 4They plan to topple me from my high position. They delight in telling lies about me. They praise me to my face but curse me in their hearts. Interlude
Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him. 5Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be shaken. 6He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.
My salvation and glory depend on God, my strong rock. My refuge is in God. 7My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge. Selah 8O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. Interlude
Men are only a vapor; exalted men, an illusion. Weighed in the scales, they go up; together they are less than a vapor. 9Common people are as worthless as a puff of wind, and the powerful are not what they appear to be. If you weigh them on the scales, together they are lighter than a breath of air.
Place no trust in oppression, or false hope in robbery. If wealth increases, pay no attention to it. 10Don’t make your living by extortion or put your hope in stealing. And if your wealth increases, don’t make it the center of your life.
God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: strength belongs to God, 11God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times: Power, O God, belongs to you;
and faithful love belongs to You, LORD. For You repay each according to his works. 12unfailing love, O Lord, is yours. Surely you repay all people according to what they have done.
