Remember the wonderful works He has done, His wonders, and the judgments He has pronounced, 5Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
you offspring of Abraham His servant, Jacob's descendants--His chosen ones. 6you his servants, the descendants of Abraham, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob.
He is the LORD our God; His judgments govern the whole earth. 7He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
He remembers His covenant forever, the promise He ordained for a thousand generations-- 8He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations,
the covenant He made with Abraham, swore to Isaac, 9the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.
and confirmed to Jacob as a decree and to Israel as an everlasting covenant:" 10He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:

When they were few in number, very few indeed, and temporary residents in Canaan, 12When they were but few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it,
wandering from nation to nation and from one kingdom to another, 13they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.
He allowed no one to oppress them; He rebuked kings on their behalf:" 14He allowed no one to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings:
Do not touch My anointed ones, or harm My prophets." 15"Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm."

Until the time his prediction came true, the word of the LORD tested him. 19till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the LORD proved him true.
The king sent for him and released him; the ruler of peoples set him free. 20The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples set him free.
He made him master of his household, ruler over all his possessions-- 21He made him master of his household, ruler over all he possessed,
binding his officials at will and instructing his elders. 22to instruct his princes as he pleased and teach his elders wisdom.
Then Israel went to Egypt; Jacob lived as a foreigner in the land of Ham. 23Then Israel entered Egypt; Jacob resided as a foreigner in the land of Ham.
The LORD made His people very fruitful; He made them more numerous than their foes, 24The LORD made his people very fruitful; he made them too numerous for their foes,
whose hearts He turned to hate His people and to deal deceptively with His servants. 25whose hearts he turned to hate his people, to conspire against his servants.
He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron, whom He had chosen. 26He sent Moses his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
They performed His miraculous signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. 27They performed his signs among them, his wonders in the land of Ham.
He sent darkness, and it became dark-- for did they not defy His commands? 28He sent darkness and made the land dark-- for had they not rebelled against his words?
He turned their water into blood and caused their fish to die. 29He turned their waters into blood, causing their fish to die.
Their land was overrun with frogs, even in their royal chambers. 30Their land teemed with frogs, which went up into the bedrooms of their rulers.
He spoke, and insects came-- gnats throughout their country. 31He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country.

They asked, and He brought quail and satisfied them with bread from heaven. 40They asked, and he brought them quail; he fed them well with the bread of heaven.
He opened a rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a stream in the desert. 41He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a river in the desert.

He brought His people out with rejoicing, His chosen ones with shouts of joy. 43He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy;
He gave them the lands of the nations, and they inherited what other peoples had worked for. 44he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for--
All this happened so that they might keep His statutes and obey His instructions. Hallelujah! 45that they might keep his precepts and observe his laws. Praise the LORD.
