| 2God looks down from heaven on the human race to see if there is one who is wise, one who seeks God. | 2God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there is anyone who understands, Who seeks after God. |
| 3All have turned away; all alike have become corrupt. There is no one who does good, not even one. | 3Every one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one. |
| 4Will evildoers never understand? They consume my people as they consume bread; they do not call on God. | 4Have the workers of wickedness no knowledge, Who eat up My people as though they ate bread And have not called upon God? |
| 5Then they will be filled with dread--dread like no other--because God will scatter the bones of those who besiege you.
