1And men from the Elders of Israel came to me to inquire of LORD JEHOVAH, and they sat in front of me 2And the word of LORD JEHOVAH was upon me, saying: 3“Son of man, these men have set up their idols on their hearts, and the stumbling block of their evils they placed before their faces. I shall exact vengeance from them 4Therefore, speak with them, and say to them: ‘Thus says THE LORD OF LORDS, a man from the house of Israel who will set up his idols on his heart and will set before his face the stumbling block of his evil, and he shall come to the Prophet, I, LORD JEHOVAH, I shall be to him a witness against the multitude of his idols 5Because I shall seize the house of Israel in their heart, because they have departed from me by all their idols

6Therefore say to the house of Israel: ‘Thus says THE LORD OF LORDS, return and be converted from all your idols, and from all your filthiness turn your faces 7Because of the man of Israel and of those who are converted to me who dwell in Israel who will turn from me and he shall raise up his idols on his heart, and the stumbling block of his evil he will set before his face and will come to a Prophet to inquire of him, I, LORD JEHOVAH, I shall be to him a witness 8And I shall set my anger against that man and I shall make him for a sign and for a proverb, and I shall destroy him from among my people, and you shall know that I AM LORD JEHOVAH

9And a Prophet, when he will go astray and he will speak a word, I, LORD JEHOVAH, have deceived that Prophet and I shall lift my hands against him and I shall destroy him from within my people Israel 10And they shall bear their evil, the evil of him who inquires shall be like the evil of the Prophet 11And those of the house of Israel will not stray again from me, and they shall not be defiled again in all their evil, but they shall be to me a people, and I shall be to them God, says THE LORD OF LORDS

12And the word of LORD JEHOVAH was upon me, saying: 13“Son of man, if the land will sin against me and she will do evil before me, I shall lift my hands against her and I shall break her with a famine, and I shall destroy children of men and beast from her 14And if these three men, Noah and Daniel and Job, would be in her, they would save themselves by their righteousness, says THE LORD OF LORDS 15And if I bring a beast on the land, and it will destroy her, and she would be for a desolation from lack of one passing through by the beasts 16And these three men are in it, I am living, says THE LORD OF LORDS, that they shall save neither sons nor daughters, but those three only shall be saved, and the land shall be for desolation 17And if I bring a sword on this land, and I will say: "The sword shall pass through in the land, and I shall destroy from it children of men and beasts 18And these three men are in it, I am living, says THE LORD OF LORDS, that they shall save neither sons nor daughters, but they themselves shall be saved! 19And if I will send a plague on this land and I will pour my wrath upon it in blood, and I will destroy from it children of men and beasts 20And Noah and Daniel and Job are within it, I am living, says THE LORD OF LORDS, that they shall save neither sons nor daughters, but those three in their righteousness would save themselves

21Because thus says THE LORD OF LORDS: four evil judgments I have sent on Jerusalem: sword and famine and harmful beasts and plagues, and I shall destroy children of men and beast from her 22And those who are saved shall be left in her, who bring forth sons and daughters, and those shall go out to you and you shall see their ways and their schemes and you shall be comforted concerning the evil that I brought on Jerusalem, and everything that I brought upon her 23And they shall comfort you when you will see their ways and their schemes, and you shall know that it was not without reason that I have done all I have done in it, says THE LORD OF LORDS
