Galilee in Biblical Context

Galilee, a region in northern Israel, holds significant importance in the New Testament as the primary setting for much of Jesus Christ's ministry. Jesus' choice to begin His public ministry in Galilee was strategic and symbolic. It was here that He called His first disciples, delivered the Sermon on the Mount, and performed numerous miracles, such as turning water into wine at Cana (John 2:1-11) and feeding the five thousand near the Sea of Galilee (Matthew 14:13-21).
