2In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin. | 2For he flatters himself in his own eyes that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated. | 2For it flatters him in his own eyes Concerning the discovery of his iniquity and the hatred of it. | 2For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful. | 2for in his own eyes he flatters himself too much to discover and hate his sin. |
3The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good. | 3The words of his mouth are trouble and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good. | 3The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; He has ceased to be wise and to do good. | 3The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good. | 3The words of his mouth are malicious and deceptive; he has stopped acting wisely and doing good. |
4Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong. | 4He plots trouble while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not reject evil. | 4He plans wickedness upon his bed; He sets himself on a path that is not good; He does not despise evil. | 4He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil. | 4Even on his bed he makes malicious plans. He sets himself on a path that is not good and does not reject evil. |
5Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. | 5Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. | 5Your lovingkindness, O LORD, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. | 5Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. | 5 LORD, Your faithful love reaches to heaven, Your faithfulness to the clouds. |
6Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, LORD, preserve both people and animals. | 6Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O LORD. | 6Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like a great deep. 11May the foot of the proud not come against me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away. | 11Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away. | 11Let not the foot of pride come upon me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away. | 11Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me. | 11Do not let the foot of the arrogant man come near me or the hand of the wicked one drive me away. |
12See how the evildoers lie fallen-- thrown down, not able to rise! | 12There the evildoers lie fallen; they are thrust down, unable to rise. | 12There the doers of iniquity have fallen; They have been thrust down and cannot rise. | 12There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise. | 12There the evildoers fall; they have been thrown down and cannot rise. |
