Limits of Human Wisdom 15In this meaningless life of mine I have seen both of these: the righteous perishing in their righteousness, and the wicked living long in their wickedness. | 15In my vain life I have seen everything. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare. | 26And I find something more bitter than death: the woman whose heart is snares and nets, and whose hands are fetters. He who pleases God escapes her, but the sinner is taken by her. | 26And I discovered more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets, whose hands are chains. 28while I was still searching but not finding-- I found one upright man among a thousand, but not one upright woman among them all. | 28which my soul has sought repeatedly, but I have not found.
