| 2You forgave the guilt of your people— yes, you covered all their sins. Interlude | 2You pardoned the wrongdoing of your people; you forgave all their sin. (Selah) |
| 3You held back your fury. You kept back your blazing anger. | 3You withdrew all your fury; you turned back from your raging anger. |
| 4Now restore us again, O God of our salvation. Put aside your anger against us once more. | 4Restore us, O God our deliverer! Do not be displeased with us! |
| 5Will you be angry with us always? Will you prolong your wrath to all generations? | 5Will you stay mad at us forever? Will you remain angry throughout future generations? |
| 6Won’t you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you? | 6Will you not revive us once more? Then your people will rejoice in you! |
