NKJV Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew American Standard Bible 1995
To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.1For the choir director; according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.2He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.
How long will you attack a man? You shall be slain, all of you, Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence.3How long will you assail a man, That you may murder him, all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
They only consult to cast him down from his high position; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, But they curse inwardly. Selah4They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position; They delight in falsehood; They bless with their mouth, But inwardly they curse. Selah.
My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.5My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.6He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.7On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah8Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Surely men of low degree are a vapor, Men of high degree are a lie; If they are weighed on the scales, They are altogether lighter than vapor.9Men of low degree are only vanity and men of rank are a lie; In the balances they go up; They are together lighter than breath.
Do not trust in oppression, Nor vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them.10Do not trust in oppression And do not vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.
God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.11Once God has spoken; Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God;
Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.12And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord, For You recompense a man according to his work.
