| 2May those who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace. | 2May those who are trying to take my life be embarrassed and ashamed! May those who want to harm me be turned back and ashamed! |
| 3May those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!" turn back because of their shame. | 3May those who say, "Aha! Aha!" be driven back and disgraced! |
| 4But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, "The LORD is great!" | 4May all those who seek you be happy and rejoice in you! May those who love to experience your deliverance say continually, "May God be praised!" |
