NET Bible | New Living Translation |
By David. I will give you thanks with all my heart; before the heavenly assembly I will sing praises to you. | 1I give you thanks, O LORD, with all my heart; I will sing your praises before the gods. |
I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your name, because of your loyal love and faithfulness, for you have exalted your promise above the entire sky. | 2I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name. |
When I cried out for help, you answered me. You made me bold and energized me. | 3As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength. |
Let all the kings of the earth give thanks to you, O LORD, when they hear the words you speak. | 4Every king in all the earth will thank you, LORD, for all of them will hear your words. |
Let them sing about the LORD's deeds, for the LORD's splendor is magnificent. | 5Yes, they will sing about the LORD’s ways, for the glory of the LORD is very great. |
Though the LORD is exalted, he takes note of the lowly, and recognizes the proud from far away. | 6Though the LORD is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud. |
Even when I must walk in the midst of danger, you revive me. You oppose my angry enemies, and your right hand delivers me. | 7Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me. |
The LORD avenges me. O LORD, your loyal love endures. Do not abandon those whom you have made! | 8The LORD will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. |
