By David. I will give you thanks with all my heart; before the heavenly assembly I will sing praises to you. 1A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your name, because of your loyal love and faithfulness, for you have exalted your promise above the entire sky. 2I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
When I cried out for help, you answered me. You made me bold and energized me. 3In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
Let all the kings of the earth give thanks to you, O LORD, when they hear the words you speak. 4All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
Let them sing about the LORD's deeds, for the LORD's splendor is magnificent. 5Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.
Though the LORD is exalted, he takes note of the lowly, and recognizes the proud from far away. 6Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
Even when I must walk in the midst of danger, you revive me. You oppose my angry enemies, and your right hand delivers me. 7Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
The LORD avenges me. O LORD, your loyal love endures. Do not abandon those whom you have made! 8The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
