| 10The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and Korah at the time that company died, when the fire consumed 250 men. | 54To a larger group you will give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group you will give a smaller inheritance. To each one its inheritance must be given according to the number of people in it. | 54"To the larger group you shall increase their inheritance, and to the smaller group you shall diminish their inheritance; each shall be given their inheritance according to those who were numbered of them. |
| 55The land must be divided by lot; and they will inherit in accordance with the names of their ancestral tribes. | 55"But the land shall be divided by lot. They shall receive their inheritance according to the names of the tribes of their fathers. |
| 56Their inheritance must be apportioned by lot among the larger and smaller groups. | 56"According to the selection by lot, their inheritance shall be divided between the larger and the smaller groups." |
| 57And these are the Levites who were numbered according to their families: from Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; from Merari, the family of the Merarites. | 57These are those who were numbered of the Levites according to their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites. |
