| 1The LORD said to me, "Go, show love to your wife again, even though she loves another man and continually commits adultery. Likewise, the LORD loves the Israelites although they turn to other gods and love to offer raisin cakes to idols." | 1Then the LORD said to me, "Go again; show love to a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress, just as the LORD loves the Israelites though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes." |
| 2So I paid fifteen shekels of silver and about seven bushels of barley to purchase her. | 2So I bought her for 15 shekels of silver and five bushels of barley. |
