| 4Restore our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South. | 4Restore our fortunes, LORD, like watercourses in the Negev. |
| 5Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. | 5Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy. |
| 6He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him. | 6Though one goes along weeping, carrying the bag of seed, he will surely come back with shouts of joy, carrying his sheaves. |
