| 1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. | 1Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments! |
| 2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. | 2His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. |
| 3Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. | 3Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. |
| 4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. | 4Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous. |
| 5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. | 5It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice. |

| 10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish. | 10The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked will perish! |
