| 8They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night. | 8All of them are skilled with swords and trained in warfare. Each has his sword at his side to guard against the terror of the night. |
| 9King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon. | 9King Solomon made a carriage for himself with wood from Lebanon. |
| 10He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem. | 10He made its posts of silver, its back of gold, and its seat of purple. | 11Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart. | 11Go out, young women of Zion, and gaze at King Solomon, wearing the crown his mother placed on him on the day of his wedding--the day of his heart's rejoicing. |
