| 2Then our mouths were filled with laughter, and our tongues formed joyful shouts. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." | 2We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the LORD has done for them.” |
| 3The great things that the LORD has done for us gladden us. | 3Yes, the LORD has done amazing things for us! What joy! |
| 4Restore our exiles, LORD, like the streams of the Negev. | 4Restore our fortunes, LORD, as streams renew the desert. |
| 5Those who weep while they plant will sing for joy while they harvest. | 5Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. |
