| 3But understand this: the LORD has set apart the godly for himself! The LORD will hear me when I cry out to him! | 3Know that the LORD has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him. |
| 4Be angry, yet do not sin. Think about this when upon your beds, and be silent. Interlude | 4Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. |
| 5Offer sacrifices that are righteous, and put your confidence in the LORD. | 5Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the LORD. |
