| 1God, you are my God! I will fervently seek you. My soul thirsts for you; my flesh longs for you in a dry, weary, and parched land. | 1A Davidic psalm. When he was in the Wilderness of Judah. God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You. I thirst for You; my body faints for You in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water. |
| 2So I have looked for you in the sanctuary, to behold your power and glory. | 2So I gaze on You in the sanctuary to see Your strength and Your glory. |
| 3Because your gracious love is better than life itself, my lips will praise you. | 3My lips will glorify You because Your faithful love is better than life. |
| 4So I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in your name. | 4So I will praise You as long as I live; at Your name, I will lift up my hands. |
| 5Just as I am satisfied with the choicest of foods, so my lips will praise you joyfully. | 5You satisfy me as with rich food; my mouth will praise You with joyful lips. |
