God, hear my cry; pay attention to my prayer.

For the choir director: on stringed instruments. Davidic. God, hear my cry; pay attention to my prayer.

From the end of the earth I will cry to you whenever my heart is overwhelmed. Place me on the rock that's too high for me.

I call to You from the ends of the earth when my heart is without strength. Lead me to a rock that is high above me,

For you have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength before the enemy.

Let me make my home in your tent forever; let me hide under the shelter of your wings. Interlude

I will live in Your tent forever and take refuge under the shelter of Your wings. Selah

For you, God, have heard my promises; you have assigned to me the heritage of those who fear your name.

Add day after day to the king's life; may his years continue for many generations.
