For the choir director. A Davidic psalm. LORD, how long will You forget me? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? | 1For the choir director. A Psalm of David. How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? |
How long will I store up anxious concerns within me, agony in my mind every day? How long will my enemy dominate me? | 2How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me? |
Consider me and answer, LORD my God. Restore brightness to my eyes; otherwise, I will sleep in death. | 3Consider and answer me, O LORD my God; Enlighten my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death, |
My enemy will say, "I have triumphed over him," and my foes will rejoice because I am shaken. | 4And my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," And my adversaries will rejoice when I am shaken. |
But I have trusted in Your faithful love; my heart will rejoice in Your deliverance. | 5But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. |
I will sing to the LORD because He has treated me generously. | 6I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me. |
