| 3Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place? | 3Who is allowed to ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may go up to his holy dwelling place? |
| 4He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear deceitfully. | 4The one whose deeds are blameless and whose motives are pure, who does not lie, or make promises with no intention of keeping them. |
| 5He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from the God of his salvation. | 5Such godly people are rewarded by the LORD, and vindicated by the God who delivers them. |
