Daniel 10
Peshitta Holy Bible Translated Par ▾
1In the year three of Kurash, King of Persia, a matter was revealed to Daniel, whose name is called Beltshatsar, and the matter is true, and he discerned the matter with great power and by it understood the vision

2In those days, I, Daniel, was dwelling in mourning three weeks of days 3I did not eat pleasant bread and meat, and wine did not enter my mouth, and I did not anoint myself with oil until three weeks of days were finished 4On day twenty four in the first month, I was on the side of the great river Euphrates 5And I lifted my eyes and I saw, and behold, one man who was wearing garments of honor, and his loins were girded in the honor of glory 6And his appearance was distinct and there were none like him, and his face was like the appearance of lightning, and his eyes like lamps of fire, and his arms and his shoulders as fountains of brass that shine, and the sound of his words was as the sound of many armies 7And I, Daniel, alone saw this vision, and the men who were with me did not see, but great fear had fallen upon them, and they fled from fear 8And I was left alone and I saw this great vision, and no strength was left in me, and my insides were turned into corruption, and there was no power in me 9And when I heard the sound of his words, I fell on my face on the ground

10And behold, a hand touched me and set me on my knees and upon the palms of my hands 11And he said to me: “Arise, Daniel, man of delight, and understand the message that I speak with you and stand on your feet, because now I am sent to you.” And when he was speaking this word with me, I was standing and shaking 12And he said to me: “Do not fear, Daniel, because from the first day that you have given your heart to knowledge to stand before your God, your words were heard and I have come because of your words 13And the Ruler of the Kingdom of Persia arose against me twenty and one days, and behold, Mikaeil, one of the Princes, first came to help me, and I remained there against the Ruler of Persia 14And I have come to show you the thing that occurs to your people in the end of days, because the vision is yet for the end of days”

15And when he was speaking these words with me, I set my face toward the ground and I was silent 16And behold, as the likeness of a man touched my lips and opened my mouth, and I spoke and I said to him who stood next to me: “My Lord, my insides were turned against me by the vision, and I was not able to stand 17And how can the Servant of this my Lord speak with this my Lord? Behold, there is no power in me and no breath is left in me”

18And as the appearance of a man again touched me and empowered me 19And he said to me: “Do not fear, man of delight. Peace to you. Be strong and be strengthened!” And as he was speaking with me, I was made strong, and I said: “Let my Lord speak, because I am strengthened!” 20And he said to me: “Do you know why I have come to you? Now I shall return to make war with the Ruler of Persia, and I went out, and behold, the Ruler of the Greeks came 21However, I shall show you a thing inscribed in The Scripture of Truth, and there was no helper for me in all these things except only Mikaeil, your Ruler, and I
