As a result, God pronounced judgment upon Eli's household, stating that their iniquity would not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.

5. James 3:1: The New Testament provides a sobering reminder of the heightened accountability of teachers and leaders within the church: "Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly" . This verse highlights the greater scrutiny and potential for punishment that comes with the responsibility of teaching and leading others.

Consequences of Unfaithfulness
