Divine Protection

Divine protection is a recurring theme throughout the Bible, illustrating God's commitment to safeguarding His people. This protection is often depicted as a shield or refuge, emphasizing God's role as a protector and deliverer. In the Old Testament, the Psalms frequently highlight this aspect of God's character. Psalm 91:4 states, "He will cover you with His feathers; under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and rampart." This imagery conveys the intimate and encompassing nature of God's protection.

The concept of divine protection is not limited to physical safety but extends to spiritual preservation. In the New Testament, believers are assured of God's protection against spiritual adversaries. Angelic protection is vividly illustrated in the account of Peter's miraculous escape from prison. An angel of the Lord appeared, freed him from his chains, and led him out of the prison (Acts 12:7-10). This event underscores the active role of angels in delivering God's people from peril.
