New King James Version | New Living Translation |
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. To bring to remembrance. Make haste, O God, to deliver me! Make haste to help me, O LORD! | 1Please, God, rescue me! Come quickly, LORD, and help me. |
Let them be ashamed and confounded Who seek my life; Let them be turned back and confused Who desire my hurt. | 2May those who try to kill me be humiliated and put to shame. May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace. |
Let them be turned back because of their shame, Who say, “Aha, aha!” | 3Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!” |
Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; And let those who love Your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified!” | 4But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!” |
But I am poor and needy; Make haste to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, do not delay. | 5But as for me, I am poor and needy; please hurry to my aid, O God. You are my helper and my savior; O LORD, do not delay. |
