1How lovely are your dwelling places, LORD of the Heavenly Armies.

2My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

2I desire and long for the Temple courts of the LORD. My heart and body sing for joy to the living God.

3Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young-- a place near your altar, LORD Almighty, my King and my God.

3Even the sparrow found a house for herself and the swallow a nest to lay her young at your altar, LORD of the Heavenly Armies, my king and God.

4Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.

4How happy are those who live in your Temple, for they can praise you continuously. Interlude

5Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
