You have covered the heavens with Your majesty. |
| 2Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. | 2Because of Your adversaries, You have established a stronghold from the mouths of children and nursing infants to silence the enemy and the avenger. |
| 3When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, | 3When I observe Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You set in place, |
| 4what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? | 4what is man that You remember him, the son of man that You look after him? |
