| 2Whoever lives a blameless life, does what is right, and speaks honestly. | 2The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; |
| 3He does not slander, or do harm to others, or insult his neighbor. | 3whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others; |
| 4He despises a reprobate, but honors the LORD's loyal followers. He makes firm commitments and does not renege on his promise. | 4who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the LORD; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; |
| 5He does not charge interest when he lends his money. He does not take bribes to testify against the innocent. The one who lives like this will never be upended. | 5who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken. |
