3Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good! Sing praises to his name, for it is pleasant! | 3Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing to his name, for it is pleasant! |
4Indeed, the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel to be his special possession. | 4For the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own possession. |
5Yes, I know the LORD is great, and our Lord is superior to all gods. | 5For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. |
6He does whatever he pleases in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all the ocean depths. | 6Whatever the LORD pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps. |
7He causes the clouds to arise from the end of the earth, makes lightning bolts accompany the rain, and brings the wind out of his storehouses. | 7He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth, who makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind from his storehouses. |
