I love the LORD, because He hears My voice and my supplications. | 1I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. |
Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live. | 2Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. |
The cords of death encompassed me And the terrors of Sheol came upon me; I found distress and sorrow. | 3The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. |
Then I called upon the name of the LORD: "O LORD, I beseech You, save my life!" | 4Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. |
Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yes, our God is compassionate. | 5Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. |
The LORD preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. | 6The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. |
Return to your rest, O my soul, For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. | 7Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee. |
For You have rescued my soul from death, My eyes from tears, My feet from stumbling. | 8For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. |
I shall walk before the LORD In the land of the living. | 9I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living. |
I believed when I said, "I am greatly afflicted." | 10I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted: |
I said in my alarm, "All men are liars." | 11I said in my haste, All men are liars. |
What shall I render to the LORD For all His benefits toward me? | 12What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me? |
I shall lift up the cup of salvation And call upon the name of the LORD. | 13I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD. |
I shall pay my vows to the LORD, Oh may it be in the presence of all His people. | 14I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people. |
Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His godly ones. | 15Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. |
O LORD, surely I am Your servant, I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid, You have loosed my bonds. | 16O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. |
To You I shall offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving, And call upon the name of the LORD. | 17I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. |
I shall pay my vows to the LORD, Oh may it be in the presence of all His people, | 18I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people, |
In the courts of the LORD'S house, In the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD! | 19In the courts of the LORD'S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD. |
