Psalm 82
NASB Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995International Standard Version
1A Psalm of Asaph. God takes His stand in His own congregation; He judges in the midst of the rulers.1 God takes his stand in the divine assembly; among the divine beings he renders judgment:
2How long will you judge unjustly And show partiality to the wicked? Selah.2"How long will you judge partially by showing favor on the wicked? Interlude
3Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.3"Defend the poor and the fatherless. Vindicate the afflicted and the poor.
4Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.4Rescue the poor and the needy, delivering them from the power of the wicked.
5They do not know nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are shaken.5They neither know nor understand; they walk about in the dark while all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6I said, "You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High.6"Indeed I said, 'You are gods, and all of you are sons of the Most High.
7"Nevertheless you will die like men And fall like any one of the princes."7However, as all human beings do, you will die, and like other rulers, you will fall.'
8Arise, O God, judge the earth! For it is You who possesses all the nations.8Arise, God, to judge the earth, for all nations belong to you.
