| 1A Psalm of David. I will sing of lovingkindness and justice, To You, O LORD, I will sing praises. | 1A Davidic psalm. I will sing of faithful love and justice; I will sing praise to You, LORD. |
| 2I will give heed to the blameless way. When will You come to me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart. | 2I will pay attention to the way of integrity. When will You come to me? I will live with a heart of integrity in my house. |
| 3I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me. | 3I will not set anything worthless before my eyes. I hate the practice of transgression; it will not cling to me. |
| 4A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil. | 4A devious heart will be far from me; I will not be involved with evil. |
| 5Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; No one who has a haughty look and an arrogant heart will I endure. | 5I will destroy anyone who secretly slanders his neighbor; I cannot tolerate anyone with haughty eyes or an arrogant heart. |
| 6My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; He who walks in a blameless way is the one who will minister to me. | 6My eyes favor the faithful of the land so that they may sit down with me. The one who follows the way of integrity may serve me. |
| 7He who practices deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who speaks falsehood shall not maintain his position before me. | 7No one who acts deceitfully will live in my palace; no one who tells lies will remain in my presence. |
| 8Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, So as to cut off from the city of the LORD all those who do iniquity. | 8Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, eliminating all evildoers from the LORD's city. |
