| 2Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers, From the tumult of those who do iniquity, | 2Hide me from the scheming of the wicked, from the mob of workers of iniquity, |
| 3Who have sharpened their tongue like a sword. They aimed bitter speech as their arrow, | 3who sharpen their tongues like swords and aim their bitter words like arrows, |
| 4To shoot from concealment at the blameless; Suddenly they shoot at him, and do not fear. | 4ambushing the innocent in seclusion, shooting suddenly, without fear. |
| 5They hold fast to themselves an evil purpose; They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, "Who can see them?" | 5They hold fast to their evil purpose; they speak of hiding their snares. “Who will see them?” they say. |

| 9Then all men will fear, And they will declare the work of God, And will consider what He has done. | 9Then all mankind will fear and proclaim the work of God; so they will ponder what He has done. |
| 10The righteous man will be glad in the LORD and will take refuge in Him; And all the upright in heart will glory. | 10Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in Him; let all the upright in heart exult. |
