| 2The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. | 2When the LORD extends your mighty scepter from Zion, rule in the midst of your enemies. |
| 3Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. | 3Your soldiers are willing volunteers on your day of battle; in majestic holiness, from the womb, from the dawn, the dew of your youth belongs to you. |
| 4The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. | 4The LORD took an oath and will never recant: "You are a priest forever, after the manner of Melchizedek." |
| 5The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. | 5The Lord is at your right hand; he will utterly destroy kings in the time of his wrath. |
