Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. | 1Hallelujah! I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly. |
The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. | 2Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them. |
His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. | 3Splendid and majestic is His work; His righteousness endures forever. |
He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion. | 4He has caused His wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate. |
He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant. | 5He provides food for those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever. |
He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen. | 6He has shown His people the power of His works by giving them the inheritance of the nations. |
The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. | 7The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are trustworthy. |
They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. | 8They are upheld forever and ever, enacted in truth and uprightness. |
He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. | 9He has sent redemption to His people; He has ordained His covenant forever; holy and awesome is His name. |
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. | 10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts gain rich understanding. His praise endures forever! |
