| 1The earth and everything in it exists for the LORD— the world and those who live in it. | 1The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. |
| 2Indeed, he founded it upon the seas, he established it upon deep waters. | 2For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths. |
| 3Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his Holy Place? | 3Who may climb the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? |
| 4The one who has innocent hands and a pure heart; the person who does not delight in what is false and does not swear an oath deceitfully. | 4Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. |
| 5This person will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. | 5They will receive the LORD’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior. |
