1Hear, God, as I express my concern; protect me from fear of the enemy.1לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ שְׁמַע־ אֱלֹהִ֣ים קוֹלִ֣י בְשִׂיחִ֑י מִפַּ֥חַד א֝וֹיֵ֗ב תִּצֹּ֥ר חַיָּֽי׃
2Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the mob of those who practice evil,2תַּ֭סְתִּירֵנִי מִסּ֣וֹד מְרֵעִ֑ים מֵ֝רִגְשַׁ֗ת פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃
3who sharpen their tongues like swords, and aim their bitter words like arrows,3אֲשֶׁ֤ר שָׁנְנ֣וּ כַחֶ֣רֶב לְשׁוֹנָ֑ם דָּרְכ֥וּ חִ֝צָּ֗ם דָּבָ֥ר מָֽר׃
4shooting at the innocent from concealment. Suddenly they shoot, fearing nothing.4לִיר֣וֹת בַּמִּסְתָּרִ֣ים תָּ֑ם פִּתְאֹ֥ם יֹ֝רֻ֗הוּ וְלֹ֣א יִירָֽאוּ׃
5They concoct an evil scheme for themselves; they enumerate their hidden snares; they say, "Who will see them?" 5יְחַזְּקוּ־ לָ֨מוֹ ׀ דָּ֘בָ֤ר רָ֗ע יְֽ֭סַפְּרוּ לִטְמ֣וֹן מוֹקְשִׁ֑ים אָ֝מְר֗וּ מִ֣י יִרְאֶה־ לָּֽמוֹ׃
6They devise wicked schemes, saying, "We have completed our plans, hiding them deep in our hearts."6יַֽחְפְּֽשׂוּ־ עוֹלֹ֗ת תַּ֭מְנוּ חֵ֣פֶשׂ מְחֻפָּ֑שׂ וְקֶ֥רֶב אִ֝֗ישׁ וְלֵ֣ב עָמֹֽק׃
7But God shot an arrow at them, and they were wounded immediately.7וַיֹּרֵ֗ם אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים חֵ֥ץ פִּתְא֑וֹם הָ֝י֗וּ מַכּוֹתָֽם׃
8They tripped over their own tongues, and everyone who was watching ran away.8וַיַּכְשִׁיל֣וּהוּ עָלֵ֣ימוֹ לְשׁוֹנָ֑ם יִ֝תְנֹדֲד֗וּ כָּל־ רֹ֥אֵה בָֽם׃
9Everyone was gripped with fear and acknowledged God's deeds, understanding what he had done.9וַיִּֽירְא֗וּ כָּל־ אָ֫דָ֥ם וַ֭יַּגִּידוּ פֹּ֥עַל אֱלֹהִ֗ים וּֽמַעֲשֵׂ֥הוּ הִשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃
10The righteous rejoiced in the LORD, because they had fled to him for refuge. Let all the upright in heart exult.10יִשְׂמַ֬ח צַדִּ֣יק בַּ֭יהוָה וְחָ֣סָה ב֑וֹ וְ֝יִתְהַֽלְל֗וּ כָּל־ יִשְׁרֵי־ לֵֽב׃
