| 1Those who are trusting in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be overthrown. They remain forever. | 1Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. |
| 2Just as mountains encircle Jerusalem, so the LORD encircles his people, from now to eternity. | 2As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore. |
| 3For evil's scepter will not rest on the land that has been allotted to the righteous, and so the righteous will not direct themselves to do wrong. | 3For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous stretch out their hands to do wrong. |
| 4LORD, do good to those who are good, and to those who are upright in heart. | 4Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts! |
