Psalm 92
HCSB Parallel NLT [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleNew Living Translation
A psalm. A song for the Sabbath day. It is good to praise Yahweh, to sing praise to Your name, Most High, 1It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High.
to declare Your faithful love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night, 2It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening,
with a ten-stringed harp and the music of a lyre. 3accompanied by a ten-stringed instrument, a harp, and the melody of a lyre.
For You have made me rejoice, LORD, by what You have done; I will shout for joy because of the works of Your hands. 4You thrill me, LORD, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done.
How magnificent are Your works, LORD, how profound Your thoughts! 5O LORD, what great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts.
A stupid person does not know, a fool does not understand this: 6Only a simpleton would not know, and only a fool would not understand this:
though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be eternally destroyed. 7Though the wicked sprout like weeds and evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.
But You, LORD, are exalted forever. 8But you, O LORD, will be exalted forever.
For indeed, LORD, Your enemies-- indeed, Your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. 9Your enemies, LORD, will surely perish; all evildoers will be scattered.
You have lifted up my horn like that of a wild ox; I have been anointed with oil. 10But you have made me as strong as a wild ox. You have anointed me with the finest oil.
My eyes look down on my enemies; my ears hear evildoers when they attack me. 11My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents.
The righteous thrive like a palm tree and grow like a cedar tree in Lebanon. 12But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.
Planted in the house of the LORD, they thrive in the courts of our God. 13For they are transplanted to the LORD’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God.
They will still bear fruit in old age, healthy and green, 14Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.
to declare: "The LORD is just; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him." 15They will declare, “The LORD is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in him!”
