| 1If his offering is a fellowship sacrifice, and he is presenting an animal from the herd, whether male or female, he must present one without blemish before the LORD. | 1"'If your offering is a fellowship offering, and you offer an animal from the herd, whether male or female, you are to present before the LORD an animal without defect. |
| 2He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Then Aaron's sons the priests will sprinkle the blood on all sides of the altar. | 2You are to lay your hand on the head of your offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Then Aaron's sons the priests shall splash the blood against the sides of the altar. |
| 3He will present part of the fellowship sacrifice as a fire offering to the LORD: the fat surrounding the entrails, all the fat that is on the entrails, | 3From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering to the LORD: the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, |
| 4and the two kidneys with the fat on them at the loins; he will also remove the fatty lobe of the liver with the kidneys. | 4both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. |
| 5Aaron's sons will burn it on the altar along with the burnt offering that is on the burning wood, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the LORD." | 5Then Aaron's sons are to burn it on the altar on top of the burnt offering that is lying on the burning wood; it is a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD. |
| 6If his offering as a fellowship sacrifice to the LORD is from the flock, he must present a male or female without blemish. | 6"'If you offer an animal from the flock as a fellowship offering to the LORD, you are to offer a male or female without defect. |
| 7If he is presenting a lamb for his offering, he is to present it before the LORD. | 7If you offer a lamb, you are to present it before the LORD, |
| 8He must lay his hand on the head of his offering, then slaughter it before the tent of meeting. Aaron's sons will sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar. | 8lay your hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting. | 9He will then present part of the fellowship sacrifice as a fire offering to the LORD consisting of its fat and the entire fat tail, which he is to remove close to the backbone. He will also remove the fat surrounding the entrails, all the fat on the entrails, | 9From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering to the LORD: its fat, the entire fat tail cut off close to the backbone, the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, |
| 10the two kidneys with the fat on them at the loins, and the fatty lobe of the liver above the kidneys. | 10both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. |
| 11Then the priest will burn the food on the altar, as a fire offering to the LORD." | 11The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering presented to the LORD. |
| 12If his offering is a goat, he is to present it before the LORD. | 12"'If your offering is a goat, you are to present it before the LORD, |
| 13He must lay his hand on its head and slaughter it before the tent of meeting. Aaron's sons will sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar. | 13lay your hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting. Then Aaron's sons shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar. |
| 14He will present part of his offering as a fire offering to the LORD: the fat surrounding the entrails, all the fat that is on the entrails, | 14From what you offer you are to present this food offering to the LORD: the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, |
| 15and the two kidneys with the fat on them at the loins; he will also remove the fatty lobe of the liver with the kidneys. | 15both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. |
| 16Then the priest will burn the food on the altar, as a fire offering for a pleasing aroma." All fat belongs to the LORD. | 16The priest shall burn them on the altar as a food offering, a pleasing aroma. All the fat is the LORD's. |
| 17This is a permanent statute throughout your generations, wherever you live: you must not eat any fat or any blood." | 17"'This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live: You must not eat any fat or any blood.'" |
