| 2rising splendidly, is the joy of the whole earth. Mount Zion on the slopes of the north is the city of the great King. | 2beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King. |
| 3God is known as a stronghold in its citadels. | 3Within her citadels God has made himself known as a fortress. |
| 4Look! The kings assembled; they advanced together. | 4For behold, the kings assembled; they came on together. |
| 5They looked and froze with fear; they fled in terror. | 5As soon as they saw it, they were astounded; they were in panic; they took to flight. |
