| 1How happy is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways! | 1How joyful are those who fear the LORD— all who follow his ways! |
| 2You will surely eat what your hands have worked for. You will be happy, and it will go well for you. | 2You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be! |
| 3Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house, your children, like young olive trees around your table. | 3Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine, flourishing within your home. Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table. |
| 4In this very way the man who fears the LORD will be blessed. | 4That is the LORD’s blessing for those who fear him. |
| 5May the LORD bless you from Zion, so that you will see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life | 5May the LORD continually bless you from Zion. May you see Jerusalem prosper as long as you live. |
| 6and will see your children's children! Peace be with Israel. | 6May you live to enjoy your grandchildren. May Israel have peace! |
