2Rise up, O Judge of the earth; render a reward to the proud. | 2Rise up, Judge of the earth; repay the proud what they deserve. |
3How long will the wicked, O LORD, how long will the wicked exult? | 3 LORD, how long will the wicked-- how long will the wicked gloat? |
4They pour out arrogant words; all workers of iniquity boast. | 4They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers boast. |
5They crush Your people, O LORD; they oppress Your heritage. | 5 LORD, they crush Your people; they afflict Your heritage. |

9He who affixed the ear, can He not hear? He who formed the eye, can He not see? | 9Can the One who shaped the ear not hear, the One who formed the eye not see? |
10He who admonishes the nations, does He not discipline? He who teaches man, does He lack knowledge? | 10The One who instructs nations, the One who teaches man knowledge-- does He not discipline? |
11The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile. | 11The LORD knows man's thoughts; they are meaningless. |
12Blessed is the man You discipline, O LORD, and teach from Your law, | 12 LORD, happy is the man You discipline and teach from Your law |
