Introduction

Spiritual purity and corruption are central themes in the Bible, representing the dichotomy between living a life aligned with God's will and succumbing to sin and moral decay. The Scriptures provide numerous teachings, examples, and exhortations that highlight the importance of maintaining spiritual purity and the dangers of corruption.

Spiritual Purity

Spiritual purity is characterized by a heart and life that are devoted to God, free from the stain of sin, and aligned with His commandments. It involves a sincere commitment to holiness, righteousness, and truth. The Bible frequently calls believers to pursue purity as a reflection of God's own holiness.

1. Biblical Exhortations to Purity:
· In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus emphasizes the importance of purity in heart: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" (Matthew 5:8). This beatitude underscores the connection between inner purity and the ability to perceive and experience God's presence.
· The Apostle Paul urges believers to live pure lives, writing, "Therefore, beloved, since we have these promises, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that defiles body and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" (2 Corinthians 7:1).

2. Purity in Thought and Action:

Corruption

2. Consequences of Corruption:
