1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: 2Grace and peace to you, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3All praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly realms in Christ. 4He has chosen us in Him from before the foundation (creation) of the world, that we should be holy and without blame in His sight, in love. 5And He has predestined us to be adopted as His children by Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will. 6For this, we praise the glory of His grace, by which He has accepted us in the Beloved, 7In Whom we have redemption through His Son’s blood - the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. 8This forgiveness He has lavished upon us with all wisdom and understanding, 9Having now revealed to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which was His purpose in Christ; 10That in the fullness of times (at the right time) He might gather together in unity all things both in heaven and on earth under the authority of Christ. 11In Him we have also obtained an inheritance, being predestined (chosen) according to the purpose of God, Who works all things in accordance with His Own will, 12In order that we (who are Jews) should be the first to put our trust in Christ for the praise of His glory. 13And you have now also trusted in Christ, after you heard the word of truth - the gospel of your salvation. And when you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit as promised, 14Who is the earnest (deposit) guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are purchased as God’s possession, to the praise of His glory. 15For this reason, ever since I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and your love for God’s people, 16I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers: 17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you spiritual wisdom and revelation, that you might grow in the knowledge of Him; 18 And that the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened; that you may know the hope to which He has called you, and the riches of the glory of His inheritance among the saints, 19And the incomparable greatness of His power toward us who believe, - the same mighty power, 20Which He applied to Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His Own right hand in the heavenly realms, 21Far above all worldly authority, power, might, dominion, and everything else, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. 22God has put all things under His feet, and appointed Him to be the Head over all things in the church, 23Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills everything in every way.
