This is the declaration of the LORD to my Lord:" Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool." |
2The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, "Rule in the midst of your enemies!" | 2The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies! | 2The LORD will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, "Rule in the midst of Your enemies." | 2The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. | 2The LORD will extend Your mighty scepter from Zion. Rule over Your surrounding enemies. |
3Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning's womb. | 3Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours. | 3Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew. | 3Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. | 3Your people will volunteer on Your day of battle. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, the dew of Your youth belongs to You. |
4The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek." | 4The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” | 4The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind, "You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek." | 4The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. | 4The LORD has sworn an oath and will not take it back:" Forever, You are a priest like Melchizedek." |
5The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath. | 5The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath. | 5The Lord is at Your right hand; He will shatter kings in the day of His wrath. | 5The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. | 5The Lord is at Your right hand; He will crush kings on the day of His anger. |
6He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth. | 6He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth. | 6He will judge among the nations, He will fill them with corpses, He will shatter the chief men over a broad country. | 6He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. | 6He will judge the nations, heaping up corpses; He will crush leaders over the entire world. |
7He will drink from a brook along the way, and so he will lift his head high. | 7He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head. | 7He will drink from the brook by the wayside; Therefore He will lift up His head. | 7He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head. | 7He will drink from the brook by the road; therefore, He will lift up His head. |
